Walkthough #2
Grappling Hook
Get a Grappling hook from Cruu, Solar : Terminus. The locations is random, as far as what item can be found where,
but check all the locations listed in the Retrieve Laser Design
mission info for planet Cruu. I had to wait till the next reboot when I tried this because
the hook was on top of the hut in malloway village, and you need the hook to get up there.. so if
that's the case just cool your jets till next reboot and hope for better luck.
No Kill requirement
I suggest waiting 4 hours after getting the items in Public1 below. In order to get the serendipity id bracelet, as well as the pry bar,
I needed to kill. Perhaps there is another way to get these items, but I decided to get them and allow the mission time to reset.
There are some NPCs on the planet that will auto attack you, but I just skipped past them.
Misc.
jippy help
You flip to the page on what commands Nafgrub has taught Jippy, and find it in the same heavy hand as the previous
page. You can make out the following:
jippy help |
Dis'll taaak yer ta dis paaaj. |
jippy get <object> |
Dis'll tell 'ole Jip ter doo wut 'e likes best. |
jippy drop |
Dis'll tell Jip ter doo whut 'e 'ates most. |
jippy goodbye |
Dis'll tell Jip ter git. |
Everything else
I'm assuming you've explored enough based on the out dated mission info to have or be able to find the
following items that are stored in Public1 below. If not read through the other info for Delivery (aa).

- A short-range transmitter
- A grappling hook

From bays of space docks d, n, n, n, sit booth, trade toy for jippy, stand up
At the Spacedocks bays you can hitch a ride down to planet from Jibbin.
ask jibbin for a ride, enter tanker
Off to the northeast of the spaceport, there's a place you can climb the mountain if you have appropriate gear.
throw hook, climb up, get hook, throw hook, climb up, get hook, throw hook, climb up,
get hook, throw hook, climb up, get hook, hole, jippy get card, jippy drop card,
get card, exa card:
This card is made of a reflective metal that catches the light much like mother-of-pearl, but giving it more of an
iridescent aqua colour than the typical pinks and yellow hues one would expect. There are no markings on it, neither is there a magnetic
strip nor other form of the more typical data storage for cards such as this. Still, it is obvious that it opens *something*.
At the southern edge of the forest there is a different place where you can ascend the mountain again.
You are nearing the edge of the forest where to the west you see large, well-tended fields and a small farmhouse, the back of which
is just over a small, dilapidated fence that marks the boundary of the farm. It is a pastoral sight, set against the backdrop of the
enormous mountain that is just to your south and looks as if it may in fact be climbable with the appropriate gear.
There are three obvious exits: southwest, east, north.
Jippy bounds happily in following his master.
s, throw hook, climb up, get hook, throw hook, climb up
When you get to the top of the mountain: sw, w, n, e, enter building, enter
hole, e, s, e, s.
You insert the card into the slot beside the anti-grav device and with great precision the two fields lift and open the horribly damaged doors,
pulling them aside just long enough for you to pass through . . . The Great Hall.
exa officer:
Rylainn is the officer in charge of the troupe of Kyn'Jess on the planet and high above on the orbiting Spacedocks. He lives only to serve his
people and is a just and righteous leader. His clothes are highly festooned with bright ribbons, and his weapon is decorated with a Kyn'Jess war banner.
The same sickly smell of Kyn'Jess roses emanates from him, as does the rest of the room. His Gilorr mask snarls, although his true facial expression
is very much a mystery to you.
You shudder as your pleading eyes beg to look away from Rylainn's Gilorr mask.
Rylainn is carrying:
A Gilorr mask (worn)
Rylainn says: We only wish to go home to save our people, please, let us go.
Rylainn says: Please, let us go to start a new life.
If you let him go you will complete the mission, you can also kill him and push the button on your transmitter, but then you wouldn't get the
no kill points and 10 MPs aren't something to scoff at so...
let go
Rylainn rewards you with a music box. I think its a one time only hp/fp healer as well as about 100k
experience points. I'm not sure about the hit points because when I tried it out I was
full on hit points.
exa box:
This beautifully ornate music box is delicately painted with a delicious crimson pigment, highlighted with gold leaf and held
together by small, fragile clasps around it's corners. Two tiny hinges and a small lock hold the top panel closed, and a
delicate handle which you could turn protrudes from the side.
turn handle
You grasp the delicate handle gently and slowly turn it, winding up the music box.
The handle begins to turn and a soft melody floats gently from the music box through the air, lulling you peacefully.
Suddenly the clasps on the top of the box spring open and a brilliant light fills the room! A glowing ball of light slowly rises from the box
and gently descends on your forehead. A moment later you regain consciousness and feel invigorated as well as more experienced!
