Alliance

Membership

To join Alliance seek Mon Calamari Cruiser 'Independence'. It can be located in one of the following solars: Roon, Alderaan, Apok, Kashyyyk, Yavin, Grestlin, Panto, Rella. Best ask one of the Alliance members ('who -g alliance') to locate the ship for you. Hyperjump and board Independence. From the Main Bay go e, n and say 'I want to pledge'. Follow everything that the recruiter tells you to do. You will also have to choose your sub guild: pilots, diplomats or specforces.

Advancement

The most traditional way to earn guild points is killing Imperial NPCs. However, points can be also gathered by shooting down Imperial ships or completing Alliance minis. Just like in any guild you will advance somewhat fast in the beginning, but that will slow down with time. The higher you go the harder it becomes to advance to the next guild level. Be aware that killing Alliance NPCs will bring your guild points down. Each sub guild has its own guild leader and its own ranking within the sub guild. However, there is also overall rankings for the whole Alliance guild.

Scoring points

There are many planets you can visit to gather guild points. Here is a short guide.

Apok: APUs and RADs are great to get guild points. This planet is for levels 14+.

Avenger: This is an Imperial SSD in the Hoth solar. Best for levels 11-14. High level players can also find good kills here (like the guard with stick), but it's not as good as Triton for high levels.

Endor is great for Alliance members! There is an Imperial Base with Imperial Biker Scouts and Imperial AT-AT Drivers galore. To get to the base from bays you go d, d, e, e, e, e, e. There will be two biker scouts there and six more surrounding the base. Enter the lift to the second floor inside the base and you will find four to six AT-AT drivers. The Biker Scouts around level ten, the AT-AT Drivers I think are around level 16. That makes about 14 kills on Endor. Enough for a guild point boost!

Chimaera: SD chimaera is in the Wayland system. There are lots of Imperials there. Best for level12-15.

Kessel: Kessel tower and mines. To get to the tower d, w, n, w, w, n, w, w, n, w, n from the bays. First and second levels of the tower are good for levels 11-14. Upper floors are for levels 14+. There is also a lieutenant not far from the base, pretty tough, but good guild points and exp. Mines are great. Go d, n from the bays. Kill trooper, d. There you'll find a slaver and 2 elite troopers in the next room, further west you'll see a stormtrooper with eater. After you kill them all 'enter crack' and look for more Imperials.

Latem: an Imperial prison in the Honoghr solar. A big range of kills, starting from a regular trooper and ending with Blaze. Best for levels 12+.

Plymouth: There are a lot of guild points to be scored here. From bays go 1 north, then climb mountain. There will be about seven to eight troopers, one droid, and one sergeant here. You can also find animals stalking about like lynx and panthers. To climb the mountain you must be wearing climb gear. All are relatively easy kills, except for the sergeant. He is much tougher than you would assume by his title.

Triton: For level 13+ Alliance players the best planet is probably Triton. Stormtrooper patrol and Intsec officers give awesome guild points. Patrol doesn't have a fixed location, you will have to find them. After you attack they stay in the same room. To attack Intsec officers you have to follow the droid down into the hatch. After you kill them you can 'enter unit' and try killing 3 elite troopers, but they are VERY tough. If you succeed you'll get Assault Armour and of course guild points. If you enter the tower (from the bays e, d, crawl spot etc.) there are a lot of stormtroopers with Killers1 through 4. They are not tough, and you can kill about 10 of them in 1 run which also gives very good guild points. Each room also has 3 units which you can enter. Usually at lest one of them has a stormtrooper too. There are also cleaning droid that carry killers, but they don't increase your guild points. Guard with death (e, d, nw, n, n from bays) and stormtrooper with Chemtech (e, d) from bays also are valuable. There are also civilian guards with neutron cannons and Tritonian civilians. Civilians are good for low levels. And of course the saber guy and his company as well as the Darktrooper should be considered as well, but they are tough. So, if you are going after guild points it makes more sense to kill 10 stormtroopers.

Ukio: there is an Imperial base on Ukio (e, e, s, s, e, e from the bays). Best for levels 10-14. There are 2 kills for high level players Konda and Liaura.

Vanagar: There are only a few troopers there. The only one worth killing is advisor (n from the bays).

Wayland: There is a Mount Tantiss base there. Best for levels 13-16 with nice guild points (and money) to be earned in the Imperial base.

Zone: There are some areas for low levels Alliance members.

Advantages

You won't spend a long time looking for things to kill. There are many Imperial systems to be explored. Some of them are new, so they were not mentioned above. If you like to play in teams Alliance is your best choice because there are more members in Alliance than in any other guild. This means that you can fight together on the ground or participate in group assaults against Imperial Star Destroyers. You'll have fun discussing latest news with your Rebel buddies.

Disadvantages

There are planets that you can't really visit much or rather you can't kill there because they are Alliance systems. It's one thing when you don't kill a particular monster to avoid a guild point drop (like in case of a Bounty Hunter) and quite another when you avoid whole worlds like Plymouth or Yavin. But biggest disadvantage is competition. It's VERY hard to get a decent rank just because of the amount of players around you who attempt the same. Also there is only 1 alliance mission available. I am pretty sure that other guilds, smugglers and hunters especially, require more role playing.

Conclusion

Alliance is probably the most popular guild and for a reason. It's fun to be a Rebel and kick Imperial butts :-). However, if you want to be unique and not to go with the flow, consider other guilds.
